Story:

Ever since Vigil could remember, he was greatly gifted with magick. While others struggled to bridge the gap between the elements and humanity, Vigil felt that he himself [i]was[i] the bridge, and it frightened him. His belief became a reality the day when everything he knew in life was destroyed. Upon the winter solstice, the village gathered to call forth a spirit of fire to bless the village with life and temperance when something went horribly wrong. The spirit escaped its circle and set the village ablaze, eager to punish those that had called it to submit. The seven elders charged with protecting the village were powerless against the onslaught of elemental fury and they too were quickly engulfed by the flames. Vigil stood alone as the spirit rose up to smite him when something ancient and intrinsic took hold of him, and for the first time, he allowed it to flourish, to inundate his entire being. Weaving this feeling into the very air itself, Vigil drew a symbol unknown to the grimoires studied in the world above, and the spirit was banished in an instant, along with every inhibition Vigil once held reserved.
